Posaune Video

The Posaune is a german-crafted Tuba or Trombone stop which has a thunderous low register and a direct, soloistic upper register.  So great to hear it all fixed up and beginning to be voiced!

Whack a mole!

Someone commented on the swell chest: "Is that a whack a mole?"  Why, yes...a very high tech version.  Upon whacking a mole, a loud reed pipe plays.  :)

Install Day 1

It only took an impressive 2 hours to unload two trucks and a trailer on our first major installation day!  Thanks to Josh, Kevin, Matthew, and the Nordlie crew, we filled the Cathedral in no time.  A common phrase is used at this stage:  "Now, where did I put that part?"

Aluminum is shiny

The lowest 5 notes of the 16' Pedal Principal were missing from the earlier Cathedral organ, so new pipes had to be cast.  Shiny Aluminum has become more common because of its light weight, low cost, and shiny polish.  As beautiful as they are, they will not normally be visible, as they are installed on the back wall, behind the organ case.

Pedal ranks

The 16' and 8' Pedal Principals were installed on Jan 20, along with the beautiful german crafted 16' Posaune.
